Job Description
Overview
To lead and manage all aspects of Elements Private Golf Reserve on behalf of the Owners and the Board of Trustees.
Reports to the Board of Trustees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To provide leadership and guidance to each of the Department Managers
- To establish accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting procedures as required
- To develop and manage short and long term goals for the Golf Reserve
- Together with the Department Managers develop and manage the annual operational budget
- To develop and manage a five year capital expenditure plan
- To develop and regularly review a long range strategic plan in consultation with the Board of Trustees
- To develop, promote and market the brand of Elements
- To promote and market the facilities on offer and to optimise the member and public use of them
- To maximise financial returns through cost reduction and price realization
- To provide a world class level of customer service and efficiency to all homeowners, members and guests
- To maintain and continuously develop all the facilities on the estate
- To ensure that the golf course is maintained in optimal condition throughout the year
- To communicate effectively with homeowners, members, service providers, employees and the public
- To represent the estate, homeowners and members with in the broader golfing community
- To determine and maintain a Code of Conduct
- To conduct the affairs of the estate within the framework of the law
- To perform any other reasonable duties that might be required from time to time
Qualifications/Experience:
- Strong leadership and communication skills are essential
- Must have the ability to plan and follow through on those plans
- Must be a self starter and must be able to use initiative
- Must be honest and reliable and must earn the respects of homeowners, members, guests, staff and the public.
- Must display good judgement and must be a creative thinker
- Must have the ability to inspire and motivate all staff
- A broad business experience in a leadership position is essential
- Must possess a sound knowledge of all aspects of management
- Must have a sound understanding of golf estate management and in particular must have a good understanding of the game and traditions of golf
